Riverbend students have plenty of schools to choose between, allowing families to decide on the right educational option for their children. In addition to the public schooling options below, there are a number of private schooling options available throughout Calgary as well.
Dedicated to incorporating the arts into education, Riverbend School teaches students to be creative and explore a wide variety of learning opportunities. Open, bright classrooms encourage happiness, and have been built to display student achievements. Outside of the classroom, the school hosts a media centre, multipurpose room, double gymnasium, learning garden, and two creative playgrounds. Riverbend residents can rest assured that their children will receive a high-quality education within their community.
Sherwood School is located in its namesake community, and serves middle school students from a handful of the surrounding neighbourhoods. The school is focused on providing a positive, engaging education to students, to encourage them to be lifelong learners and constructive citizens. Sherwood School has four learning communities and integrates a wide range of complementary courses such as art, leadership, physical education, career prep, web design, robotics, and music. Sherwood students have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of skills and interests during their middle school years.
Central Memorial High School has a strong focus on career pathways and raising students who are ready to pursue their passions in society. In addition to the mandatory core curriculum courses, Central Memorial offers numerous electives that span arts, athletics, and other career options. This fantastic high school is located in the North Glenmore Park community.
