SPORTS & RECREATION

New Brighton is home to two parks to fit your athletic needs:
The New Brighton Club in the centre of the community is surrounded by some fantastic recreational resources for residents. Tennis courts, a baseball diamond, outdoor hockey arena, waterpark and multi-purpose fields are all available for the community’s private use. The clubhouse itself features 6500 square feet of banquet facilities and multi-purpose rooms for rent.
Along the community’s northern border is the sprawling, clean New Brighton Athletic Park. This new and engaging park, built in 2014, is the go-to spot for residents looking to spend some leisure time sweating outside. The Athletic Park is home to four multi-spot turf fields, a natural turf baseball diamond, two non-structured activity spaces, changing facilities, and a large skate park. The Athletic Park is easily accessed from the connecting pathways within the community.

GOLF

The closest course to New Brighton is the McKenzie Meadows Golf Club, a phenomenal public 18 hole championship course. Possibly the nicest public course in all of Calgary, McKenzie Meadows is an easy ten minute drive from New Brighton. An equal distance to the northwest, Eaglequest Driving Range is also a point of interest for golf enthusiasts.

New Brighton is located mere minutes from the Seton Urban District, allowing homeowners to shop to their heart’s content. Easy access to the Calgary business core ensures that New Brighton residents can reach all their favourite downtown destinations in an easy 25 minutes.

New Brighton has a very active community base, which maintains a number of ongoing clubs and social groups. The New Brighton Residents Association also coordinates a number of registered programs, primarily athletic and dance groups. Community events happen on a regular basis, uniting residents at BBQs, craft fairs, bake sales, holiday celebrations, the summertime farmers market, and more.
