Directly south of Lake Bonavista, Fish Creek Provincial Park is another fantastic destination for local residents. Walking and hiking trails, off-leash dog areas, and a plethora of stunning natural environments make this park a fantastic place to visit again and again.
Numerous playgrounds and sports amenities can be found throughout the Lake Bonavista community, allowing resident families to participate in a wide range of favourite fitness activities. Tennis courts, soccer fields, ball diamonds, and children’s playgrounds are all scattered throughout the community.
Golfers will be in heaven with their Lake Bonavista home, as three fantastic golf courses can be found nearby. Golf courses in Canyon Meadows, Maple Ridge, and Willow Park are all within a ten minute drive of the community. The Lake Bonavista Homeowners Association hosts a number of social programs and events, making it easy for residents to meet new people and have fun. Movies in the park, toy sales, sports groups, and the Winter Carnival are all activities that have occurred in the past.
Lake Bonavista Promenade makes it easy and convenient to shop local or run errands. This quaint plaza offers a range of professional services and places to eat, as well as a few retail outlets and a gas station. Even more shops can be found at Southgate along MacLeod Trail SE, further enhancing the shopping opportunities available to Lake Bonavista residents.
