DOUGLASDALE SCHOOLS

The SE Calgary community offers a fantastic public education system, and Douglasdale schools are no exception. Serving both the Douglasdale and Douglas Glen communities, the following schools are known for providing a reliable educational foundation and plenty of opportunity for residents.

DOUGLASDALE ELEMENTARY (K–4)

Located within the community itself, Douglasdale Elementary is an excellent option for local families. The school started as a mini-school for the community. Since its origination, it has grown to include a full-sized gym, media centre, and more. Douglasdale Elementary also hosts a Communications, Sensory, and Social Interaction (CSSI) program, and strives to provide a creative and exploratory learning environment for all students. Before and after school care is integrated into the school, through A Step Ahead Child Development Services.

MOUNTAIN PARK (5–9)

Middle school students in Douglasdale and Douglas Glen feed into Mountain Park School, located in McKenzie Lake. Mountain Park School strives to create responsible students who have a positive impact on the local and global community. Music, athletics, and technology are all complements to the core academic opportunities, resulting in well-rounded students encouraged to pursue their interests.

LORD BEAVERBROOK (10–12)
