DOUGLASDALE PARK

Douglasdale park serves as a recreational destination for Douglasdale residents. The park is home to two ball diamonds, a hockey arena, and a multi-sports field. A couple of blocks away, Douglasbank Park rests along the Bow River and hosts some beautiful walking trails.

THE BOW RIVER

Douglasdale rests along the Bow River, giving residents access to the Bow River pathway and all the scenic viewpoints that come with it. The Sue Higgins Pedestrian Bridge allows residents to cross the river and explore Queensland on the opposite bank.

LOCAL SHOPPING

A small business plaza on Douglas Woods Drive SE makes it easy for residents to visit the dentist, grab a bite to eat, or gas up the car within the Douglasdale community. A large quantity of big box retail stores can be found near Southpointe along 130 Ave SE, while downtown Calgary is only a 15 minute drive in ideal conditions.

MAPLE RIDGE GOLF COURSE

Though technically outside of Douglasdale, Maple Ridge Golf Course’s location off Deerfoot Trail makes this unique course a convenient leisure destination for residents. This public, city-run course is a nice five minute drive from Douglasdale and features 18 beautiful holes. Maple Ridge also has practice facilities, cart and club rentals, and a licensed snack bar.

EAGLEQUEST GOLF DRIVING RANGE

Hit some balls or play a casual round of golf at the Eaglequest Douglasdale driving range, in the northwestern portion of the community. The local driving range is an excellent place to hone skills or kill time and has become a favourite nearby destination for many families.
